Just a thought about the church
Acts 14:27-28 “On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.”
In the early days of the church, a group of disciples living in a certain area was already considered a church even before it gathers. It continued to be considered a church after its gathering and even though the people were distributed in various places. Their identity as a church was not tied up to their gathering or their organization but to their connection with Jesus as His disciples. All His disciples living in a certain area were considered His church, at least in those early days. Therefore, biblically speaking, overseeing a church does not simply mean waiting for people to come on a Sunday service. It means looking after the flock even though they are not gathered.
