Reality and Truth
Reality has a way of startling us, or disturbing us. But we cannot deny it. Inevitably we need to face it. When we have needs, we know it. There’s no point pretending that they do not exist. Some people, wanting to appear spiritual, will try to deny it, thinking that by doing so the problems will disappear. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. The problems are still there. More than that, they appear to be dishonest to those who can actually see the problems! It’s a very good witness to them.
The better solution is to face the problems and apply the truth to interpret them properly. It is the interpretation that matters most. Needs are real, for they do exist. But what do they really mean? How do we interpret them? This is more important to consider than just the problems themselves.
The verse is one of the key truths to use in interpreting needs. Process it in your mind, memorize it, and then use it to deal with realities (or needs) in your life.
