We’re Moving To A New Location

Moving to a new location is not easy. We would need to adjust and it would be a struggle for many of us. Aside from the difficulty of packing, storing, and moving our things to the new place, we also need to learn how to do new things in our new place. Traveling to and from our new place would require new learning (where can I find public transport, etc.?) as well as new habits (how early should I wake up to be in church by 10 AM?). We will also struggle with feelings of homesickness, as we miss familiar places, people and customs, etc.

But moving to a new location can also be an opportunity. We can see this move as an opportunity to embrace change and look at new and innovative ways to reach out. Relocation can provide an opportunity to build new relationships and connect with new people who may not have been reached in our previous location. Moving to a new location can provide our church with the opportunity to reach new demographics, such as young families or diverse communities living near or around our new place. We can use the opportunity to upgrade our facilities, which can make a better and positive impact on the local community and attract new members. We can take advantage of this move to expand our outreach efforts and make a greater impact in San Pedro. We can listen anew to the needs of our new community and adapt our programs and services to better meet their needs, which can result in increased growth and outreach for our church.

So as move to our new location, let us trust God for the opportunities that it would provide us while remaining courageous as we face the challenges as well.
