Love of God

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬ ‭NASB‬‬

God is so committed to love us. He sent His only begotten Son because He loves us. He pours out His Holy Spirit into our hearts in order to communicate His love to us in a personal way. Because He loves us, nothing can stop Him from loving us even more. Such is the love that God has for us. How can we ever doubt His love? Yet this is exactly what happens to some of us. All our insecurities stem from our unbelief regarding the unconditional love of God. We try to look for pseudo love from people who cannot really give true love. We’re so hungry and thirsty for love that we do things we really don’t want to do in order to receive what we really don’t need. What we need is true love — unconditional and eternal — which only God can give us through Christ. Why look elsewhere? Find the love that you need right at the foot of the cross! God reveals His love to us through His Son Jesus Christ. When you have experienced the love of God through Christ, nothing else attracts. Nothing else matters. You can be secure in His love because His love never fails. Today, as you face whatever challenges the world may throw at you, remember the love God has for you. It will never fail. It will never go away. God will love you forever! Open your heart to Him and rejoice in His love forever! Shalom! (PB)
