Let’s Eat Together
One of the most important aspects of a simple church is sharing with and praying for each other while eating together. This is a very important discipline that we cannot and must not neglect. It may seem trivial, or unspiritual, but in reality this is very crucial to what it means to meet together in the presence of the Lord. I want us to always value this practice in all our simple churches, for without it our meetings will be less than what the Scriptures teach us. The word of God says,
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46b-47)
