INTRODUCTION:

According to a study by IPSOS, 70% of Filipinos feel overwhelmed and seek to slow down. While being busy is part of modern life, the concern lies in the state of hurriedness it can lead to, as described by Dallas Willard. He explains that being hurried is an inner condition of preoccupation that hinders presence with God, self, and others. God’s desire is not for us to live in a state of hurry, but in a blessed life characterized by presence and delight. One way to experience this blessed life is through reflecting on the description of a blessed person in Psalm 1, which reveals that delighting in God’s Word results in: a life grounded on God’s precepts, leading to prosperity and a constant, fruitful connection with the source of life.
Why is delighting in God’s Word results in a blessed life.

Two reasons
1. Delighting in God’s word leads to fruitfulness.

 
God’s primary intention is to reveal Himself and His will for our lives, allowing us to know Him and His will for us more. Through His revelation, we will be able to live a life characterized by strong roots in His teachings, bearing fruit in every season and grows continuously, experiencing victory.

2. Ignoring God’s wisdom leads to emptiness.

Living a life apart from God may be fun at the beginning, but it will eventually result to an empty life. Like a husk that is blown away, dried and not experiencing what the Lord has in store for Him.

CONCLUSION:

1. Knowing and Following God’s Wisdom results in a blessed life.

2. God’s intention for us is to experience a life which we can call blessed. One with rest, hope and peace. So let us always be attentive to what God is revealing to us, be aware of what He is saying, Agree with humility, and align our actions so that we can experience the blessed life He has for us.

3. As an act of obedience, ask God for His grace to work in us so that we may desire to approach His word daily.
