The Call to Salvation

Introduction

Our salvation is not merely a past event; it should be a vital and transformative force in our present lives. Just as a near life and death experience can acutely remind us of our vulnerability and the value of life, our salvation should jolt us into an ongoing realization of the grace and mercy we have received.

By taking our salvation to heart, we can continuously rejoice and express gratitude to God. This profound understanding will compel us to share the Gospel with others, extending the transformative power of salvation to those who seek it.

By embracing our own salvation and sharing its message, we not only honor the sacrifice made for us but also bring hope and healing to a world in desperate need.

Why did Jesus save us?

Three Reasons:

1. We matter to Him.

Jesus personally called out His name among the crowds and initiated a relationship with Him. Why him? Because someone who was rejected and unaccepted by their society like him mattered to Jesus.

2. We humbly repented to Him.

Jesus did not stop letting us know that we mattered to Him, moreover, He accepted us for who we were and that compelled us to respond to him in humble repentance. As a result. a transformation took place.

3. Jesus is the Savior.

He is the only one who can take the penalty of sin out of us and be righteous in the eyes of God. No one else, nothing else.

Conclusion:

1. Our salvation compels us to always follow and acknowledge Jesus’ Lordship in our lives.

2. Take their salvation to heart. One of the ways to do that is to be part of the MP4 volunteers. As for those who are new, I will encourage them to join Real Life Bible Study (RLBS) and Freedom Day to further understand what salvation really means for their lives.

3. Same goes with the nudge to action.

Discussion:

1. How does the concept of “mattering to Jesus” influence our understanding of salvation?

2. What role does humility play in our repentance and acceptance of Jesus as our Savior?

3. In what ways does Jesus being the Savior impact our relationship with Him and our understanding of salvation?

4. How does the belief in Jesus as our savior affect our actions and attitudes toward others?

5. Can the idea of Jesus being the only savior lead to exclusivity or inclusivity in religious beliefs?
